Electrical Utilities

IE Power Inc. is a supplier of station class equipment to utilities such as Ontario Power Generation. Contracts with utilities include the supply and maintenance of Battery Chargers, Inverters, Power Supplies and UPS’s.

High Energy Physics

IE POWER Inc. is a leading supplier of magnet power supplies. Since the early 1970's precision power supplies have been supplied to the TRIUMF cyclotron facility at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Since then other worldwide laboratories have made IE POWER their supplier for high stability Magnet Power Supplies, Pulse Power Supplies.

Wind

IE Power Inc. has designed and manufactured back to back Wind Turbine Inverter Systems. Power sizes available range form 900kW to 3MW. Use of the latest switching techniques and filtering concepts result in the highest efficiency conversion, economically available. IE Power uses techniques from military and aerospace controls result in a high degree of reliability with over 30 years design life.

Energy Storage

IE Power Inc. uses the same reliable bidirectional circuitry as in wind turbines in our Advanced Battery Energy Storage System, Power Conditioning Systems (ABESS PCS’s). ABESS’s are part of our technological solutions to global shortage of electricity supply, and energy load leveling.

Plasma Torch

The IE Power Inc. team has decades of experience in the design and manufacture of DC Chopper Power Supplies for use with DC arc loads and plasma torches. The unique chopper module design results in a compact and economical solution to the demanding quick response requirements of an arc load.

Marine

Marine craft make use of IE Power shore power and on board Battery Chargers for DC electric power. IE power also produces UPS’s, Inverters and Frequency Converters for marine applications.

Military

IE Power Inc. designs and manufactures custom power supplies to military specifications. These include Degaussing Power Supplies, High Inrush Current Aircraft DC Supplies, UPS’s, Battery Chargers, Frequency Converters and DC-AC Inverter.
